Since 1998, the Hold ‘em & Hit ‘em Club has teamed up with the Corral Club Cherubs to form a buying group that each year participates in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Auction. The Show recognizes contributions of $10,000 or greater as Corporate Donors and awards a $10,000, four year scholarship in that Donor’s name. We are proud to say that we have held the Corporate Donor level since 1998. To date, the Hold ‘em & Hit ‘em Club has donated $153,800 to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, thru the School Art Auction.
Hold ‘em & Hit ‘em also gives to the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo thru the Calf Scramble by donating calves, Hard Luck calves and Mystery Calf donations.
Since 2000, the Hold ‘em & Hit ‘em Club has been giving to the San Jacinto College. Currently we are a top tier donor to the San Jacinto College Foundation. We recently have been funding fifteen, $500 “Hold ‘em & Hit ‘em Scholarships” per semester. To date, we have donated $148,200 to San Jacinto College and the Foundation, providing over 450 individual semester scholarships. It is a great honor to hear our Scholarship Recipients stating they look forward to a successful career that will give them the opportunity to give back to the community and help a young student has the Club has helped them.
We have participated in the Farm & Ranch Club general scholarship fund program for several years.
The Hold ‘em & Hit ‘em Club also donates to many of the local county fairs via calf scramble donations and purchases at auctions.
Total giving to the youth of the Houston area thru the above organizations and other similar organizations is over $900,000.
